This June and July, children will paint with acrylic paint on wood making creative representations of “Summer on the Farm.” Classes will focus on using color expressively, using black and white in paintings as highlights and shadows, composition and balance in artwork, and just plain enjoying art! Painting instructor Meagan Albritton is a local artist and has experience teaching children from pre-school to high school. You can see her work around Wauchula on the Hardee County Public Library and American Legion murals. Meagan has a passion to share her love of art with children to inspire and encourage them in their creativity. All supplies will be provided. Classes are recommended for ages 8-14, unless a parent/guardian is able to stay and assist their child. Classes will be from 9:00-10:30 am. Classes at Heartland Events are subject to weather conditions. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and we will also have water and some snack foods available for purchase.
